The french Peugeot cycling team was regarded as one of the most succesful teams of the peloton in the 70’s and 80’s. The Peugeot team jersey is easily recognisable on the road with its famous black checkerboard pattern. The team was known for producing some of the greatest champions in cycling history, including Jacques Anquetil, Tom Simpson, Bernard Thevenet, and Robert Millar, among others.
